Amanda, Honey you have to do what you feel is right in your heart. I think if there is any possible way you should always try and save your marriage. People make mistakes and sometimes when you go through these hard times it can make your marriage stronger. My ex-husband had an affair with my very best friend who was like a sister to me, we did all holidays together and I was so shocked and hurt. I am not sure anything prepared me for that. He had cheated on me before and I forgave him but this I could not - I lost the two people that I thought I could trust the most in one day. I do have to be honest their have been times throughout these past 20 years that I second guessed my decision to not try and save my marriage. She recently passed away after a long terrible disease and I felt bad that she suffered so. Since her passing I have spent a lot of time with my ex - as we have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. It has been an eye opener for me as I know now that I did make the right decision. I would suggest that you both go through counseling as an affair is usually the result of something else going on. I will pray for both of you and hope that you two can make your marriage stronger and better than ever.
