Oh my gosh, Carolyn. I'm so sorry you were close to folks involved in that
horrid crash.
I read about it the other day and thought how many lives had been turned upside
down
by the carelessness of one person.
I don't know what to say or to tell you that would help. Maybe bringing
over a meal
or something like that when they get home... just being there if your
neighbor
needs
someone close by with an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on...
My heart goes out to all of them, it really does.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] OT Motorcycle Crash in SoCal
Hi folks,
I'd like to ask you all to pray for my neighbors and my long-time friends.
There was a huge motorcycle/car crash on the freeway from California to
Arizona/Mexico this weekend. 21 bikes -the riders are known for giving to the
communities and Mexico -- 4 were killed, several were dismembered, the
passenger
in the car was killed. The driver who caused the crash was driving over 100 mph
and kept going. He's not yet been found.
What happened was that a gold Honda was driving about 100 mph behind the bikes
and passed them. The oncoming white car tried to avoid the head on crash and
ending up plowing into the row of bikes.
My neighbor's daughter was one of those who died at the scene. She has 3 kids.
Her husband suffered multiple severe injuries and is in the hospital. My
friend's husband was also on that ride. I don't know his condition yet. I've
called his wife, but she's not home.
You guys, can you help me? I don't know what to do or even what to say. "I'm
sorry" doesn't seem like enough. And buying them flowers doesn't seem right,
because they too, will die.
I know this is 'way off topic, but can you give me some advice. And how do I
justify this in my mind? I've called all three of my sons - to hear their voice
- to make sure they're ok - and to tell them I love them.
Can you please help me.
