A couple of years ago or maybe last year there was a very touching story of Baby Emma who was born with a terrible cleft palate - she was brought to the pound to be put down and some angel saved her she was only ounces and she had a daily blog on her and her progress - hers was very severe and had to have many surgeries. We all donated to her and the surgeon donated her time for free. I will have to see if I can find the blog as it was so touching. I did send it to Chihuahua Connection and they did a big story on her. I pray that she is doing well as she touched the hearts of so many of us Chi lovers. I bred him. He had a cleft palate as a baby and I had to tube feed him and his sister for 5 weeks every 2 hrs around the clock for the 1st 3 weeks. He is now 9 months old. He is still very tiny at about 2.5lbs. He is a sweet boy. I don't think I could be without him now...
