But while the crackling, browned skin is tasty, it's not good for dogs because it is full of oily fats and too much of it can cause pancreatitis. Also avoid giving your dog the drumsticks. The cooked lower leg of the turkey contains many small, sharp splinter bones. Thanksgiving tragedies include pierced intestinal walls of dogs that have been given the drumstick.
