That is so UNTRUE Salmonella is serious in any animal and can be transmitted
to humans. A while back their was several cases of young kids getting it and it
was traced to an old rawhide that the kids had touched and being kids they then
put their fingers in thier mouth. Their are a couple of different strains of
the bacteria as well..This is just one of many sites on the issue.

thanks so much for the trouble to find this for me!!! ... i feel better now...
samonilla doesnt effect dogs ... the enzymes and acids kill it with no
effect... they eat 6 day old road kill in summer! lol.. it can affect people
tho- so normal hand washing is a must after any meat handling just as you do
preparing your kids dinners... thank you for clearing this up for me!!.. and
always wash your hands and use same prep methods for your dogs meats aS YOU do
people meats ...nice of "natures variety " to recall themselves tho!! makes me
trust them even more!!!
