Thanksgiving cooking is one of my favorite stories of my marriage. The first year my husband and I were away from home for college, we could not go home due to distance. My husband and I started arguing about how to put tin foil on the turkey. I had a moment of clarity and decided it was the stupidest thing to argue over so I let him direct. All I could think of were the thousands of women slaving away in the kitchen wishing their husbands would help. The turkey turned out wonderfully and my husband became the official cook of Thanksgiving. We now host at least 3 mothers, mother law, grandmother in law. This year we will have 10 for dinner. I cook cranberries and set the table. Unfortunately I do dishes too.
