That is a beautiful story. I worked with many Doctors from India so am very
knowledgeable about their culture. I became good friends with one doctor and
learned a lot about their religion and beliefs. His father made him promise
that when he finished medical school that he would go out in the world and help
heal as this was God's gift to him. He said if you ever start doing it for the
money you will shame our family and you will need to quit. What a wise man to
say that and he still works on that principal, when I use to do discharge
planning at the hospital and I had a patient with no insurance that was going
to a nursing facility you had to have a doctor to write the orders and visit
them and direct their care - I could always call him and he always said yes
unlike many doctors he never asked "what kind of insurance do they have". I
have much respect for him.
He also helped me when I did not have medical insurance. Yes there is no better
feeling than to help someone who is having a hard time.
Blessings to you and thank you for sharing that with me.
Nancy

Hi Nancy

yes I did see that movie and I believe in "paying it forward". Heres a kinda
short story.

some years ago, met a friend online in India. He was an only child. In India
education comes first and the guys usually do not marry until they are about
28-30 and have a good job and take care of the parents. anyway, this guy was
about 23 at the time. met him and he was depressed as his dad was dying of
Cancer. they had no insurance and no money for food etc. He blamed himself for
his fathers condition because he had not finished school yet to help pay for
his dads treatments and or meds. There was nothing he could do. His mom had one
dress to wear daily, and they ate maybe 1-2 times a week. I could not stand the
thought of them not eating. So I started sending him money thru western union
so he and his parents could have food. There main diet is rice. I also sent
extra money for my friend to be able to have transportation for far away places
he might need to go. I also sent money to buy his mom a new dress or 2. He was
so thankful.... and it made me
feel good. He always told me when he got a job, he will send all the money
back to me that I have given. I told him NO... I do not want it back...but I
want you to "Pay It Forward" when you are able to, I want you to help another
family in need of food. That would be my repayment
Soon after that his dad passed away, then he finished school, got a job and was
making some money for him and his mom. I reminded him to "Pay Forward"... and
he did.
Today I am still in touch with him and his family. He is married, has a baby
son, and his mom is still with them. They are all doing good!. I will never
forget this time in my life I helped someone that I did not know at the time. I
did go to India in 2000 and did met him and his mom. we are still email friends
today.

Great Shanna, if we can all do something extra for someone we could all make a
difference. Have you ever seen the movie Pay it Forward - it is awesome and
worth watching.

Nancy, that is the sweetest thing you did. I never thought about that kind of
help. I think I will try to give some blankets to the shelters. :)

I went and spent almost 50.00 for the animals at the shelter that Gail takes
the pictures of each week. I got all sizes and styles, coats, hoodies, sweaters
- santa outfit and reindeer outfit. I am so excited. I did not get my girls
anything as they are so blessed and if we can help one baby find a forever home
then it will make my heart melt.

spring pictures, park pictures, vintage pictures, art gallerys,clipart...
Anything at all.

Peggy thank you, how generous to offer to make pictures of all our babies!
Where do we search for backgrounds?

Hi Everyone!

I have copied a lot of your pups pictures to my files so I can crop them and
make a picture.  Their are so many pups to do! But I do enjoy doing them. So I
think this is the best way for me to do it without forgetting any one, and it
will be faster and easier for me.

If you want a picture: Start your own thread title it,  'My Pics-  your name
and the name (s) of your pups'   Include the photos that you want me to use and
a background picture that you want their picture applied to.  You can use ANY
background that you find, even animated ones, which I can also make unanimated
if I have to. I can apply just the face or even the pups whole body to a
different background. It doesn't have to be a Thanksgiving background, I will
try to do whatever you want.

Have fun searching for your backgrounds! I don't have that many for
thanksgiving so you would be helping me too.
