I placed a dog like that.I had taken in a beagle to keep her from being sent to a pound. I was travelling with her and in NC I had to put her in an outside kennel.no dogs allowed in the rooms by state law at that time. She dug out and we searched for 2 days. I finally had to leave. A few days after I got home I got a call from my vet, she had been found. She was at a lovely kennel who raised beagles and they wanted to keep her. I got references, checked with their vet and ultimately left her there. Got to visit a couple of years later, she was in fat city. They sent me Christmas cards from her for years, she lived to be about 18.

[3 Attachments] We kind of think the owner was a lady who called Andrea and asked her all sorts of strange questions...and then said at the end of the conversation that she would be so relieved to know her baby had a wonderful home...it didn't make any sense...but Andrea thinks she was just calling to check to see if "her baby" was in a good situation. She told Andrea she was having lots of health problems...etc.
