Hi
flying pets in the cargo section is very very scary, & noisy for pets. They
have to be in a certain type of crate that is airline approved. airline
approved really means strong /tuff so if luggage or boxes falls on it, they
wont crush the crate! They are thrown around the cargo area when there are
turbulents and or sharp turns. Its very very noisy also with the engines. I
would NEVER put my pet in the cargo section of a plane. Chihuahuas are timid
enough without being put thru that.

I fly to California occasionally with Tia to visit my son.. It usually cost
about 250 dollars for her to fly in the cabin and they only allow a certain
number of dogs per flight.. I am sure cargo is cheaper but I refuse to do it..
Just a consideration if you have never flown with your dog.

I would be more inclined to Las Vegas.  I can get cheap tickets from Idaho
Falls.  Plus the husband is a poker addict.  He would go for anything in
Vegas.
