Not to insult any one on here, but lying about something like that is dumb and
totally necessary. Just find a hotel/motel that is dog friendly.  Their
are plenty of them, if you research enough.

I won't be able to go to it, but I certainly have been enjoying reading the
post on it and hope it works out for the others.

I don't have a clue. I gathered they were speaking about the hotels that don't
allow pets. We always stay in pet friendly hotels/motels and never get asked
any questions. That is why they are pet friendly, they don't care why

So then, why is their a big discussion on lying that the dogs are service
dogs? Why do they feel that they have to give any reason to book rooms with
dogs?

Hotels that are pet friendly never ask for a reason they just let you bring
them,

Maybe you ladies should look into motels instead of hotels. Most motels allow
dogs and you don't have to give a reason for a booking either. Plus it would be
much easier to walk them.
just my idea..

true but they might think some or all are faking it. but who would want to risk
a felony charge?  I  know that since I have a service dog I have had
people come up to me asking me if she is a real service dog as she is so full
of energy that she can be a bit hyper at times or they think that just because
she is a small dog that she cant be a service dog. That is a bunch of hogwash

Alot of places expect paperwork at least that is what I run into? You can read
up on the laws, basically if you take them they have to be able to sit when you
command, lay down on command and in restraunts if you take them big dogs have
to lay on the ground and little dogs can sit beside you if they behave...there
are other rules to but I am not sure what all they are. Sissy has and ID &
Vest she smells for me. I am allergic to perfumes and cigerette smoke, some
flowers and other stuff to.

them on line.  Very expensive though.   I think by law a
hotel is not aloud to ask about the type of disability.  If anyone has
the talent we could probably make our own I. D s for the dogs.

service dogs? Just wondering... I know people get companion dogs cause they
dont want to be alone or for other medical reasons... I'm afraid that if I get
a dr's note it will follow me and people would thing I was crazy... I want to
adopt a child someday and don't want that to hinder anything
