didnt you say you found him in a garbage can? to me that means someone threw
him in there.. that is abuse. well for biting you need to curb it. do not play
with him with your hands, only a toy. I still advice the water bottle if he
bites the hand.

some puppies just bite hard in play, but still need to teach him that biting is
a NO NO. Chi's if not corrected early, will grow up a biter!

oh no I would never hit at him or yell at him.. I am in chicago, Illinois. He
doesnt seem to be afraid of my hand, I think his play is very aggresssive. I
used to do rescue for min pins. We were very shocked at how sweet and loving he
was when I brought him home! Honestly he is a really great pup, its just the
rough housing. he is really great with my other dogs, he is wrestling with my
doberman as we speak! :-)

Hi
If he was found in a garbage can, he was really abused!! He was mostly hit with
the hand, smacked around good. So now he is afraid of the hand. the only thing
he knows is that the hand is bad and will hurt him. This can be fixed. You have
to work with him. even if you have to wear a glove. be gental and talk calmly.
do not touch him with your hand if your going to jerk it away and yell. then he
knows he won.

get gloves, start petting him even if he is biting telling him he is a good
boy, good boy... give him lots of treats with your hand (no glove). show him
your hand is good. feed him his food out of your hand. he will come to know
your hand is ok. this will take time as he has been so abused. try to
understand. do not yell at him, do not hit him, do not punish him for this. all
gentle quiet talking.
please let us know what is happening in a few days. where are you located?

Hi everyone, I rarely post on here but I am looking for some advise. I have 2
chihuahuas one who is 5 and the most perfectly behaved chi ever, then I have an
approx 8 week old puppy who is a terror, he wont stop nipping! Sadly I found
him in a garbage can the morning after Thanksgiving. He gets along great with
all my dogs and cat. I have had many a puupy in my life. I have never had a
puppy so young be so ornery!! He bites almost viciously atttach our shoes our
pants, at this moment I am sitting in our bar stool chairs with my feet up on
another chair to keep from being bit!!We love the little booger, he has been
great to potty train, he sleeps in bed with us and our other chi. he is as cute
as can be!! He is healthy, we took him to the vet and have had him checked
out.. Has anyone ever experience a satin chihuahua puppy? LOL!
