Our previous dog, was that way. Not panting but just plain restless...
couldn't settle which told
me she was uncomfortable with being in the car. However, when she was maybe 4
we came all the
way from NC to AZ with her and our schnauzer and they both did great. Of
course, they were in
their crates and as long as they had those crates they were home <G>
But, I sure don't know what to suggest....... maybe give her some treats
in the car seat?
Maybe take the car seat inside and let her get used to it there? I wish I
could help!

My problem with Abbey is riding in the car - she pants and hates it. I got her
when she was 3 months old and I do not think she was ever in the car - the baby
loves it. I got them really nice car seat from GW Little that sits high so
they
can see out and they both fit in it. I even tried some medicine that my Vet
prescribed for her but it did no good, She hats to stay home alone but hates to
go in the car, I have no idea how to fix this. I also bought DAP which is a
pheromone that is suppose to smell like their lactating mothers and relax them.
Did not do anything for her. If anyone has any advice I would greatly
appreciate
it!
