Have you checked southwest - they let pets fly free as long as they are small enough to fit under the seat. Nancy

This is going to sound like a dumb question...but why not use the Pet Airways? It says that the animals are not put in cargo area, and that the plane was converted from seats to be able to hold carriers for the dogs?

Also, these other two sites fly animals all the time, not in cargo either. But they do it for rescued dogs to get them to their forever home. Why not email them and if they have flights going to your destination they may be able to take your two for a small fee.

It's worth a try.

Okay, maybe someone can help me, I'm getting more and more distressed.  First let me say, I'm so excited that there is a pet airline.  My problem is the first week of Feb, I'm flying from Bellingham, Wa to Jacksonville, Fl.  I'm going to visit my daughter.  She wants me to bring Monster and Bruiser, and I want to bring them because I'm going to be gone for at least a month.  But I can't figure any way of getting them there without flying them in the hold, which I won't do.  Anyone have any ideas, I'm so stressed about leaving my babies for that long.

Thanks,
Pam

FYI:  For anyone who may need to fly their pets, you will find this interesting, hmmm, it may come in handy for out of state adoptions too.
