Hi I know that on weekends they have a person in Petco who usually has samples of their dog and cat food. I think its like natural balance, etc. Another thing you might want to try is email some of the dog food companies you want to try and ask them if they have any samples of there food you can try.
You can also see if you can find free dog food coupons on line or I have seen many dog food coupons on Ebay.
