Shanna,
Thank you so much you made my day. I really was upset by that lady and started
questioning my own reasons for taking in so many.
I take very good care of them and three of the last ones I got came from a no
kill but they needed love and attention and were getting none at the sanctuary.
I knew this because I volunteer there and couldn't stand leaving them behind to
sleep in cages at night. They needed more and due to medical or behavior issues
they would have never been placed. So I took them problems and all and love
them despite the issues.
To me this is what is important. They are cared for, loved and happy.
Thank you for reminding me.

Hi Carol

You will find that there are people in the world that love to put people down
for whatever. Its just there nature there fix. You do not know this person,
never met her, so just let it go, and go back to what is important... loving
your babies! I have said it before and I will say it again, if they are well
cared for, and happy, then it fine. At least they are not on death row!! why do
some people think some dogs would be better off in a shelter? even a no kill
shelter, the dogs are in cages, with no one to hug them, love them, or a lap
for them to lay in. how sad is that? You go girl.... give those babies all the
love you have. dont let others tell you what to do, especially someone you dont
even know. :)  It sounds to me like this person really does not see the sweet
kindness you give these dogs. To me that is not a dog person!

ok ok... I have said enough...

I had joined a group on Yahoo and told about my dogs. The moderator ask me
question about how I could afford so many. I told her that I do my own
grooming, shots and have only one that needs spaying and that I use a clinic
through the rescue group that does discount spaying. I feed Blue to all my dogs
that I purchase through a group that buys bulk.
My dog are my life and I would do nothing to hurt them. She called me all sorts
of names. Said I cut corners and that is worse than being a hoarder or back
yard breeder. She took me off her group. I am still very hurt by this. Like I
said I love my babies and would do anything for them. They are all my husband
and I have.
Her scolding has left me shell shocked!

Doesn't just astound you that people even feel free to say a word about the
number of dogs one has...it is like making a judgment on the # of children
someone has...pretty gutsy I think!

Deanna I agree on how some people react to me with 10 chi's! Most just think it
is crazy but some are flat out rude to me. I have been called names and so on.
But if they came to our home they would see that is it clean and the chi's are
all well cared for. Something a hoarder wouldn't do. All my babies have vet
visits, shots, spay neuter and so on. They are taken care of as well as most
people care for their babies.

Well anyway my break is over, good luck with the new group. Maybe I will check
it out.

HI Dasha...I don't think that has to be accurate to begin with...I am on so
many
boards and most people are on more than one...they do fine. I do NOT want to
affect the Chi group at all Dasha...nothing is gonna change here!!! People are
wise enough to not join if they can not handle it...I dont want anyone to join
if they think it will impact this group but I certainly dont see why it would
need to. Many times with my groups I post the same message to all of them...if
it is a generic and not personal or specific to one person...i think thats why
the BCC is there for our use. Really guys...please do not join if you think you
can only post to one group...I do not want this perfect CHI group impacted. I
know you guys wouldn't want that either!!! I simply wanted to offer a place
where people with a "bunch" of dogs wanted to learn and share their
ways...their
management skills. Also a place where you wouldn't get slammed for having too
many! Even with my little pack I get garbage all the time and it makes me mad!!
I have friends on other lists that have more than 15 and they are sick and
tired
of being attacked because they have chosen to live their lives with so many. I
thought...and still do think that there should be a safe place where everyone
could share all that without the "comments" from others about it. It amazes me
how people feel they have the right to pass judgement on situations they know
little to nothing about. No one will get slammed for having multiple dogs...now
I have the power to stop it ...heee heee heee!!! There are LOTS of things I do
differently because I have multiple dogs!!! Things have to be done
differently!!! My life is WAY different than when I had one or two...it just
is.
If it didn't change someone would be shortchanged around here. It is REALLY fun
to learn about the different ways people do things with lots of dogs...I LOVE
hearing about it and trying things out. One really fun idea that I learned from
a lady that has 9...she took one of her largest bedrooms and made it the dog
room...you should see pics...it is the cutest room I have EVER
seen...decorations, paintings, functional yet adorable
furniture...lighting...you name it is centered around her dogs. Because I LOVE
to decorate I spend many hours re-designing in my head how I would create the
perfect dog room!!! I have saved all the pics she ever posted...and pics from
many others who did the same thing...and someday I will do it too. BUt untill
then I sure have fun planning it!!!! No one would most likely consider that
with
just one dog...so just another idea that stems from those with multiples.
So...if you enjoy hearing fun ideas that people do with multiples of dogs...if
you have more than one and want more...if you want to spend much of your life
surrounded by dogs...and IF YOU CAN HANDLE more than one group...please come
join! You wont hurt my feelings if you dont guys!!!! I totally understand!!!

Ok...Ok...IT IS A WHIMMMMMMM...i don't want you guys mad at me!!! Anyone can
join...how about that!!!???? I really labeled it as a "bigger" pack because I
thought that would deferentiate from the Chi group and I didn't want to "take"
anyone away from it but I guess it is totally legal to be in more than one
group...so PEGGY!!!!!NANCY!!!!! DASHA!!!! EVERYONE!!!! Please
join..1...2...3...or 4 dogs...it doesnt matter!!! I love you all!!!!

I think she meant exactly what she said....4 or more dogs only are allowed to
join her group. Guess she doesn't like this group anymore, sigh!   Or maybe
this
is one of her whim decisions and she will change her mind again..... that's
more
like Deanna! :)

I agree but I am thinking she meant "pack" as more of a group rather then the
usual pack.

Wow, I personally feel that specifying 4 or more dogs warrants a pack is a
little prejudice. Two or more dogs is a pack and the leader of the pack is the
owner, that makes three as a pack.

Well at least you used the card that I made for you on your main page!

 Hello Everyone,
I am starting a new yahoo group called In The Dog Park...it is for those of us
who have 4 or more pups. If you are interested in joining just go to
http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/Inthedogpark/
and join. This is my very first attempt at a group so we will see how it goes
but I wanted somewhere where those of us that lived with a "pack" could support
and educate each other...ya know...on great ways to feed, manage, train, walk,
play, accomodate etc with a larger # of dogs. Love to see you there!!! I hope
this is ok to post about...let me know if it is not!!!
