I think that it makes them tickle on their bellies…maybe they itch and you are not there to scratch their bellies for them!

Kittie (Chi for those who don't know that's her name) low crawls all the time, and for long stretches. She will low crawl the length of the bed. Or low crawl around the room. Zeus does the low crawl sometimes, and he looks hilarious because he is much larger than Kittie.
