>From what you wrote, I assume that your husband is not stressed or fearful
when she is around. Dogs can pick up on the feelings of the people around
them. She may be jealous because you give your husband attention (as you
should) so she is trying to get him out of the picture.

If she growls or bites at him, she should be told 'No' and put in her area
for 5 or 10 minutes. She needs to know that she is not acting appropriately
and that your husband is going to be staying.

Good luck, let us know how things progress,

Joan

Subject: [Chihuahuas] 2 & a half year old with serious attitude towards my
hubby Help please

My girl,NJ, who was hand raised along with her 3 siblings, has decided she
hates my husband. This has not been an over night occurrence its been
gradually developing for awhile now but has escalated to the point where she
bit him without even a warning growl. this happened 3 weeks ago.I'm
terrified to have them near each other. She growls & barks non stop when she
sees or even hears him now. I wonder if she picks up my nervousness & its
making her worse . He's tried to "dog whisperer' her in the past to change
the behavior, it obviously didn't work. He tried once again to "d.w." her
today & I was a basket case she simmered down for 5 minutes but quickly
returned her way of terror. I made my hubby leave the room. Guess I
should note she's also bitten by father as well. Although with him its
always been a hatred( cute story I'll share some times).

Does anyone have any suggestions? I need her to stop this insane behavior
before I'm forced to give her up :(
