Do you know how many Mink that have to be killed to make one coat??? Or a chinchilla? or any other animal? I am not for real fur coats, or any clothing wear that comes from an animal.
chinchillas: more than 100 ( they are so small) 12-15 lynx 10-15 wolves or coyotes 15-20 foxes 60-80 mink 27-30 racoons 10-12 beavers 60-100 squirrels this is how many of each animal it takes to make a coat! I am one of those people that believe that every animal has a right to live, and the only time an animal needs to be killed for warmth, is if it is a necessity for a humans survival, like if you live in the Antartic and such places where that is the only way you can get a coat. My CHi's have all sorts of warm coats you can get inexpensive ones at places like TJ Maxx and Ross. My Mom had a mink coat cut down and a dog coat made oout of the left over-very chic.
