Desi had an undescended testicle and before he was 4 months old, the vet examined him and said that we needed to get him neutered ASAP. He was right. I could have had Desi neutered for $125, but he had the bad kind of undescended testicle where the testicle was not attached to the kidneys (I think.either that or the bladder). Well anyway, the vet had to make multiple incisions to locate it and remove it as safely as possible. With this type of undescended testicle it can wrap around the other organs or artery and choke them off, or if it doesn't do that they can for a very big ugly cancer.

I don't think she had to much pain and that is without any pain meds. They glued the incision and didn't give her a cone. The problem I had was that when I was a work or sleeping she would lick at it and it opened and had to be reglued many days later. I have had two chihuahuas fixed. My female was groggy and just wanted to sleep for the next 24 hours. My male was, if anything, more energized than ever. I had to keep him crated sometimes because he would run around the house like it was a racetrack. Crazy. He was eating that night, no problem. My female looked at me as if to say, "How could you?"
