Oh boy !! She just went through her heat cycle last month. I wonder if it has
anything to do with it?  I am going to call the Humane Soc. today on my lunch
to see if there is anything they say?

Okay.. I have had several dogs spayed before and never had this happen. I feel
bad for her, I tried to have her sleep with out the toys, but she was so
worried and cried, so I went and got the 3 toys she has adopted as her babies..
2 of them are these little Aflac ducks that I got with signing up with Aflac.
LOL they don't look anything like a pup.. & the other is one of those new toys
that do not have the stuffing. How long do you think this can last?

Hi Beth...because she was recently spayed her hormones are way out of
whack...which certainly could be triggering her behavior. Many vets are looking
into new ways of spaying as better options...instead of a
Ovariohysterectomy...they are doing more OVE where they leave the uterus and
just remove the ovaries. This fairly new way...at least fairly new to the US
...seems to really not play so much havoc on hormonal changes and actual risks.
Don't worry about Dani...it just might take a bit for her to balance out...her
little body needs some time to readjust to her new self.

This is really strange, never had this happen to me. Friday after work go home
and Dani is crying, and acting strange. She starts gathering a couple of her
small stuffed toys and she has put them in her bed and stays with them. Doesn't
want to come out of her bed unless I take the toys too. She is acting like she
has had a litter of pups. I have never had a dog spayed and do this? Years ago
I had a mini doxie who had had pups at one time, but she was not bred and she
had what the vet called a phantom pregnancy. Had all the symtoms of being
pregnant. So this is really weird to me. Any body else experience this?
