Peggy, Its nice to be back, I had to move my dad who has Alzheimers and had some medical issues my self and then Maggie had to have her last set of shots. The place my dad was staying in exposed him to scabies. This place cost 6,000 a month. The thing that really made me mad was that there was an outbreak in Nov. and no one told us. So my poor Dad was suffering - it was terrible. He itched so much that he caused sores all over him self. I had been taking him to the Dr. every 3 weeks and he kept getting worse so I took him to a dermatolgy and the Dr. was appauled that I was not advised of this, plus I found out that when his money was stolen 186.00 there was nothing they could do, then they lost his glasses and right before we left they found them all in pieces. The new home said that this should of been replaced (glasses) and the police should of been called and a report made out as they should have all their workers bonded. None of the care takers could speak English and it was stressing me out so much. They would call me at 10:30 at night which when I saw their name come up I assumed that he had gone to the hospital or worse, but it was to tell me he needed vitamins. So I am going to take them to small claims court, report them to the licensing board and the health department. They did not even have one licensed medical worker there no RNs, Lvns, the only person was a dentist (the owner) who lost his practice due to so many malpractice cases. It looks beautiful on the first floor - like a 4 star Hotel and upstairs it is not even as nice as Motel 6. I am sorry to bore you with all this but I am so angry - so the GOOD news is I found him a wonderful place that has 8 residents in a large home, they are staffed with one RN. one LVN and  MA (medical assistant) and the price is only 2500.00 a month.I could just kick my self for not moving him sooner but when I am sick it makes it so hard. My ex husband who I was married to for 20 years and is the father of my children wife passed away several months ago so he has been so wonderful to take my dad to the doctor, pick up meds for him and me. The last time I took my Dad to the Dr. he grabbed onto me as I was trying to put him in a wheel chair and I ended up on my but and it hurt and people just walked around me - some of them were Kaiser employees. Well Its over now and I learned a lot. The girls are doing great and I love them more and more each day. Miss Magoo has quite the personalty as Abbey is more stand back. Oh the RAW food yes I did but I cheated I got Stella and Chewys and let me tell you they love it I got the freeze dried and the patties but they like the freeze dried and they do not want any water on it. I think it has the same feel as the Chicken Liver freeze dried treats I give them. It does cost more that I thought, so I might have to supplement it with something. But they go nuts when its time to eat. They lick their bowl for several minutes trying to get one more drop. We have had sun for a couple of days so I sit our front and the girls just run and run on the lawn they love it, well my dear I am typing with one eye so I am sure their are many typos but too tired to go through them.
