Dolly is smarter than my Elmo. He goes outside and then sniffs the air. Too
late now, boyo !

One thing that has fascinated me as a new dog owner is how resilient and
adaptable they are. I live in Nebraska, so bad winter weather is a given. When
I first got Elmo, in late November, he would not go outside in the cold or the
wind or the snow. While I never forced him to go out, I kept to the schedule of
offering the opportunity of "let's go outside" (chanted in a lilting voice)
and now he goes out in all but the most frigid of night time bad weather. This
week I've actually been the one to cringe back from the weather, he was willing
to go out and I wasn't, LOL.

Ha! My two won’t go outside if it is cold or raining, or when we had some
light snow a few weeks back. Dolly stands at the door and sniffs the air to
determine if she wants to go out.

I'm so excited I had to tell everyone that we woke up to snow this morning!!
So, even though Monster won't be able to go with me to Minnesota he still got
to experience a little bit here. He wasn't too thrilled. Here are some pics. He
didn't stay out very long. I'm gonna try out the boots in a little while and
see what he does.
