Thanks MJ for the nice welcome. I wish I could travel again but, with multiple
dogs and a very messed up back it's no longer possible.

I just joined this group and thought I would introduce my three chis and chi
mixes.

I have two chi mixes and one full blooded chi. I got Sweeny first, he is a 1/2
chi, 1/4 rat and 1/4 fox. Can't see the Ratty in him but he is such a showy
dog.
Last time I weighed him he was 7 lbs and I think most of that is hair. Such a
feisty pup, he is just about 1 1/2 years old. My next chi is a full blooded
chi.
Cricket is a long haired very lanky 4 1/4 lbs. Full of beans and looks like he
has a couple of black eyes. Such a pretty carmel and white and he is coming up
to 10 months old. My last chi is the brother of Sweeny. Beasley will be five
months old on the 16th and is the brother (not litter mates) of Sweeny. They
have the same parents and are quite different in apperance and temperment.
Beasley weighed in at 2.7 lbs when we first took him to the vet after we got
him
on New Years Day and he weighed a whopping 2.8 a week ago Thursday when I got
his last distemper. I asked the vet about not gaining any weight in a month and
he checked him over real good and said well, it looks like you've got a 3 lb
dog. I hope he does get a bit bigger because the others tend to stuff him in a
snow bank from time to time. I do watch out for him really close as we have
three other larger dogs (Min Schnauzer, Lhasapoo and Rat Terrier) also we have
a
lot of owls and hawks around our place. I live with my hubby in Iowa. I haven't
been able to take Beasley over to our local dog park but, the others go a lot
when it's warmer. I will be going today and tomorrow as it will be in the upper
20's. Beasley really needs to be socialized. I have set up a album in the
groups
photo section under Beasley, Cricket and Sweeny. Looks like a great goup and I
will enjoy reading and getting to know every one.
