Okay... Obviously if you say you are an attorney who knows, then,
your state is not one with a Puppy Lemon Law. So your legal
responsibility only has to go as far as your contract. Beyond that,
things become an ethical responsibility. And you are trying to get
the pup back because ____________. You fill in the blank.

As for your utility bills, they may be unrealistically
high. However, the bottom line still comes back to having enough
money to both live day to day and to be able to care for your
Chihuahuas. If you are having trouble making ends meet on a day to
day basis, then, you are going to have big time financial problems -
that could mean the life of one of your Chihuahuas - should a
breeding emergency arise.

As a personal feeling : if I were forced to keep my home at just 56
degrees both day and night for the entire Winter Season, I sure
wouldn't be whelping Chihuahua puppies. That's far too cold for
Chihuahua babies. If I couldn't afford to raise the thermostat above
56 degree, I would also realize that I couldn't afford to breed
Chihuahuas. From a lot of first hand experience, I know how
expensive doing a proper job of raising Chihuahuas can be. I love
this Breed too much not to do provide them with the best of
everything possible. To me, that includes a warm home. I feel bad
for you and your Chihuahuas always being cold. 56 is horribly COLD!!!

As for the pup's new owner, something does sound rather odd there,
too. Under normal circumstances, a buyer would not hesitate to give
out their vet's name. My own buyers provide the name and phone
number of their vet before they go home with one of my pups. It's
one of the references I require. How much did you know about this
woman before she took your puppy? Did you interview her?

What happened with the other 3 pups that were sold? BTW, how old are
these puppies? You never did say.

I ama liscenced atty. I know law if nothing else. And in 13 years of breeding
this is the second complaint I have had. As an atty I can tell you I
am on solid
legal ground. I dont even owe her a buy back. I WANT to do that to try to be
reasonable. She will jot even give me her vet namecand number so I can contact
the vet to see what is going on. My vet saw the pup 6 days before it left and
gave a clean bill if health.

Now, as far as electric bill....google......ky......even the legislature has
convened a special committee to find out WHY in the world electric bills havd
sky rocketed. No ond can pay them right now. Government called in the utilities
commisioner to testify as to WHY. It is a state wide problem right
now. Even for
Attorneys like me
