Does your granddaughter live with you, Carol? Have you explained to her in detail what will happen? Does she care??? It rather sounds that even if she loses this dog, she'll just continue on as if nothing happened. This is very sad. I hope you never get her another dog.
You certainly do have your plate full. I know first hand how a bad case of severe bronchitis can be. Keep calling around. Maybe you won't find a vet super close to home, but don't restrict yourself. Surely, there has to be a vet somewhere (even a nearby town) who will work with you to save Daisy. As I mentioned before, call the University Hospital in San Diego tomorrow to see what help or advice that they might be able to give you. At the very worst, call your local rescue groups and see if any of them can help by taking Daisy. It's better to let Daisy go to someone else than for her to die while struggling to deliver the litter. If the heads of the pups really are too big, she won't be able to free whelp. It would be a horror to let her die trying. And again, after this experience, do not allow your granddaughter to ever have another dog. Liz Oo liz she don't get it its very sad lession she thinks money grows on trees expects me to pay for everything she does wrong this sucks. Even support her baby as well I can't be doing this I am now 51 yrs old and was very very sick with broncitis and then my son cought it and we have both been I n the hospital with iv s and still recouperating from this as well I hate to spill my illness but were not thank god we got medical coverage or I wouldn't know what to do. And now the dog being due with pups and not a vet out here in palmdale will take payments I have tried everywhere they just don't care anymore its about getting paid right when they see them grrr no help at all.
