Yeah.My vet replied to my IM that I sent earlier. No one in his practice knows of a low cost place in Carol's area, but he said that she should take the Chihuahua to the SPCA or Humane Society so that they can take care of the mother and the puppies. I agree with my vet that this is the most humane thing to do. They will take the puppies by C-section and have them be adopted out by suitable families (if they survive). If the mother survives, then they will find her a suitable home for her also. And, if the mother survives, they will spay her so that this doesn't happen to her again. I know that Carol said that the mother weighs 2 pounds, but the pictures that I saw look like she is much bigger than 2 lbs (even less being pregnant). Carol also said that the mother was 7 months old, and my vet said that puppies don't normally go into their first heat until 6 months old and she has to be at least 8 months old by now. That poor Mommy dog.I bet that the puppies are sapping every ounce of energy out of her.
