Exactly. So glad that you are so very careful with your dogs. The pain, when we lose them in any way, due to any circumstances, is extremely difficult to deal with. I live in South Florida and have never seen one but I am sure they are out there somewhere. When I take them out at night they are on short leashes because it is too dark to really see where they are. My back year isn't wide open, it is kind of narrow, but my dogs stay right by my side. They are trained to do so. I wish everyone would realize this true danger to these little guys. People just don't think it will happen to them.
