I have two types of carpet stain cleaners that I am going to use.I will post after doing my tests.which is best, if any!
I had one that was pretty good from PetSmart.the regular brand Simple Solution.it comes in an aqua/turquoise bottle. It does a good job but takes a while.you have to spray it and then wait about 5 or 10 minutes and then sop up the fluid with a paper towel. Sometimes it was hard for me to find where I had sprayed. But.these two new ones that I am using are Fizzion and Capture. I have to do it when Dolly & Desi are not running around on the carpet. We are having serious winds here today and besides Dolly & Desi not wanting to be out in that, I would fear that they would be blown away! I will let you know the results of the two new products that I am using for the carpet stains. My Desi was very hard to train. He would be playing with toys and as he was playing he would pee on the floor, and sometimes on the toys too. He had puppy pads, and I had a puppy pad on the carpet between where he was playing and the bathroom where there was another puppy pad. I was going out of my mind with how to train him. I was cleaning the carpet as he messed it, but all those cleaners left some residue and I don't think that they took away the odor either. When I was slowly moving the puppy pad from the carpet to the bathroom so he would learn where I wanted him to go, he started going on the carpet where the puppy pad was. One day, I physically picked him up and set him in the back yard. I watched through the window and 20 minutes later he stepped in the rocks and went potty. I praised him and gave him a treat. The next day I repeated and he almost repeated the same amount of time to go in the rocks and go potty. Praise & Treat. The third day he was starting to correlate his experiences because he really loves to eat, so he walked around for almost 20 minutes then he stepped on the rocks and ran to the door for a treat.no treat and I closed the door again and watched through the window until he went potty. I have not seen him go potty on the carpet in a while, but when I started treating both dogs equally, Dolly starting marking the carpet to let me and Desi know that SHE was the ALPHA. I am remedying that right now, and hoping that this may be my last puppy waste cleaning session! Greta, the brown bearded one (smile) is 15 weeks old, and Sammy, the panda bear, is 12 weeks, yesterday. They are such little impish dears. They have absolutely no respect for carpeting, think that pee pads are for tug of war and they way their tails so hard when they're bad that I'm sure their little behinds will fall off! They are affectionately known by all as "the babies" which means they are already well on the way to spoiled rotten. I absolutely love them, and can't wait to buy stock in stain/odor remover (giggle). Thank goodness I got the carpet shampooer fixed BEFORE they moved in. Thank you all so much for letting me share them with you. Peace, Angela Mose On Wed, Feb 16, 2011 at 11:46 AM, <[email protected]> wrote: How precious those babies are!
