Hi Annette, I have that exact doggie door in my house...actually two of them. Both Myrtle 3.75 lb. Chi and Madison my 2.8 lb yorkie puppy get through them fairly easily. I also have another doggie door that is an insert for my sliding glass patio door. That one is easier for them but not much insulation.
