Desi has the golden eyes and the breeder said that the dark ones usually have blue or the golden eyes. My neighbor's Cockapoo/Wheaten terrier mix is part off white and part tan and she also has the golden eyes. Maybe the chi downstairs had a parent with the gene and it was dominant in his formation.
