Oh, yeah! Desi has the best personality…always bouncing around, always
wanting to give kisses to anyone – even strangers (I try to stop him and
most of the stranges say ‘No, I love it!). Desi can figure out how to find
a cookie that is hidden faster than anything. I have tried to make finding
his treat when I go out harder, but he always manages to find them. He is
fearless…he walks on top of the back of the couch (and there is no wall
behind it); he walks all over me in the bed…I think he thinks that I am part
of the furniture or something; and I actually call him my little entertainer
and comedian. Both his parents were small (4 ½ and 5 ½ lbs) and he got a
recessive gene to get him to the ‘old’ size. I did look at pictures on the
Wikipedia site of the original Chihuahuas and Desi actually looks like
them…the longer body, the taller height, and something about the face…I
always notice that his head is positioned more in a downward position
whereas Dolly and most other chis have heads that look straight forward. My
vet insists that he is all chi. I love him, no matter what!

Joan I have a big chi foster. She is double the size of my regular ones. She
is longer, taller and heavier. The vet said she is actually what is know as
a standard. Apparently years ago they weren't as small as they are today.
She is beautiful and so smart, she is just really big. My husband calls he
big momma. But she is probably the best behaved of all of them!

I always thought that my two were big for Chihuahuas, but so interesting
that my female is 7 lbs and my male is 9 lbs.

Amanda

I am curious to know:

How much does Amber weigh? Do you know which male is the father to this
litter and how much he weighs? and would you have a picture of him as well?
The puppies are really adorable.

Will you be able to post pictures of the other females and of the father to
each of them?

This is so tempting...to have a Chi puppy!

Thanks

Peggy

I’m sorry…I think it may be Amanda…that had the seven puppies and one died.
Well, whoever it is, I want to let you know that I posted on my vet’s
website about the puppies. Sometimes people here know people there, or
maybe even someone would want to go to KY to pick one up.

Good luck on finding good homes for all of them. Also, let us know when the
next litter is born, and I can post those puppies also.
