My vet said to never give a dog Pepto Bismol…don’t know why. Maybe rice would be the best thing if you don’t have the canned pure pumpkin. Do you have any Pedialyte that you can add to her food to give her back some of the electrolytes lost in her diarrhea?
I have a lot of cans of pure pumpkin…only wish I could send it through cyberspace. Dolly & Desi were both sick yesterday. Desi was throwing up bile and Dolly or Desi was having diarrhea…and a lot of it, so maybe they both were. I gave them some Tagamet that I had left over from Desi one time so they each got a little of that, and I have been feeding Desi Science Diet ID for the last two days. I think he has already damaged his esophagus from swallowing all his food whole within 10 seconds and then he sits for 10 minutes making chewing motions to make it move to his stomach. By late last night, they both perked up a little, but I am still watching them. I hope it isn’t something that is going around. The only place that mine have been in the last two weeks is in their booster seat to the post office drive through boxes, and on Friday I took them to get their nails trimmed at the groomer…they may have caught something there. Then we went to the vet to get more Interceptor but we didn’t even go into a room and they were in my arms the whole time. I hope that your baby gets well quickly!
