I called the shelter and found out the puppy is a baby 6-8 weeks old, they have the mama too, a 12 lb. Chi, the papa was not a Chi, a "medium size dog". When I asked if they could confirm that she was healthy, she answered "I don't know, I haven't seen her today". As much as my heart hurts, I decided against driving out of town to see her. Gloria
