Wow.that is a hard one. If I was having that problem, I would ask the vet for liquid meds. The little syringes fit right in the side of the mouth where there are no teeth. I don't know about your vet, but when Dolly was given some sort of liquid anti-inflammatory she did not want it.it would get in her mouth and she would spurt it out like a fountain. I tried everything but I was ending up with all the meds over me. I called the vet's office and they said to bring her in and THEY would show me how to give it to her. The lady vet that had taken care of her before came in the room and put the right amount in the syringe and was showing me (but I already knew) and as soon as she got the meds in Dolly's mouth she spurted it all over the vet! Wish I had a camera for that one. Well.they realized that Dolly would not take that so they just gave me some pills (Dolly loves pill pockets) and didn't charge me.

He's learning a LOT of self control. I am having problems giving him his pills though. Last night I put them in his chicken and he just gobbled them up because he was really hungry. Today, I'm having to shove it down his throat. He fights me and it took me about 3 tries to get them down him. I hate having to do that, especially since he's taking 4 different kinds and 2 of them are 2 to 3 times a day. I've always had this problem with him but I've never had to give him so many pills so it wasn't a big deal. We've tried putting it in canned food, cheese, pill pockets, treats, and more and he will eat everything but the pill. Anyone have any suggestions of what I could put the pills in? I almost tried my oatmeal this morning but I didn't know if that would be good for him. Also, each time we tried something new, it would work the first time but not again.
