Thanks MJ. He's doing pretty good except for the redness and throwing up last
night which doesn't really seem to bother him. He really wants to play and its
so hard to tell him no... I'm glad he's feeling well enough to play though and
I'm not gonna let him do anything to hurt himself again.

Poor you and poor little monster too. I was thinking about him and his red
tummy as I went to sleep last night. Being so little and on so many meds must
really take its toll on his tiny body. I' so sorry that you guys are going
through this and hope that the weekend will be peaceful and that you can keep
him quiet. Good that he is going back on Monday. Thinking about you,
Lorena... hugs, mj

I just talked to the vet and he said it could be a reaction to the meds but
since he's on so many we can't know which one is causing it. So he doesn't want
to do anything unless it gets worse. Also, Monster threw up a little last night
and he thinks that's from the Previcox which is one of the pain meds. He told
me
to skip that one today and I've gotta go pick up some other meds to help coat
his stomach. So let's hope he does well over the weekend. We have a follow up
appt on Monday to see how everythings going.

Maybe he is having a reaction to one of the meds that he is taking.
Do you have a thermometer…the kind that measures by infrared? If so, run it
from the side of his belly on the left and then smoothly down to the inner
thigh. It is supposed to be around 101 or 102. If it is more than that,
perhaps you can call the vet…the answering service can put you through to him
and he can probably tell you over the phone for no charge.

Hmmm…
Does he appear to be itching or anything?
Another thing could be that he is laying most of the day and maybe it is just
where all the circulation is stopping?
What color is his chest normally?

I just noticed that Monsters skin on his chest is very dark red. Anyone know
what that means?

Thanks,
Lorena

OHHH, such a sweet picture of Monster going home. Can only imagine how happy he
is now and for you to have him safely back in your arms Lorena. Hope so much
he
does not have to have surgery.
