Dolly is afraid of the vacuum cleaner, whether it is on or off…I am thinking
that maybe something happened when she was at the breeder that reminds her of
that.

Good for you taking care of little Vida…Dolly & Desi send puppy kisses.

I am too Lynn. This is my first rescue, but there are several more that I wish
I could go save. If I had a bank account as big as my heart I would do it in a
moments notice!

It so sad that they come out so sick. I think people would do more rescues if
the dogs weren't so sick!! Knowing they are going too put out a bunch of money,
and go through allot of worry and heart ache, and even death of there new pup.

I learned something about little Vida yesterday. I went out to water some new
plants I had planted over the weekend. When I unreeled the hose she took off
like lightning! & it hit me why she did this. When I was at the shelter that
day they were spraying the kennels down with a hose. I am sure they sprayed the
dogs too.. I went in and told her it was okay, she would never be sprayed
again.. I am not sure she understood, but I will know in the future that its
something she is afraid of.

Ohhh, so glad you went back for her. I bet those girls at your vet's office are
thrilled to see her progress. This is such a feel good story, and we never seem
to get enough of these types. Have myself gotten a little misty eyed of your
updates on how well she is now doing. Your first pictures of her adorable face
did not translate the awful truth of her extreme starvation. The big dogs she
was so cruelly placed in with eating all the food leaving her with nothing.
Poor little girl. I doubt she would ever want to leave you, her savior, anyway.
Really looking forward to her updated I am so loved and fed pictures.

Oh thank you Lynn.. She is a sweet little girl with the biggest doe eye's I
have ever seen.

It is fun to watch her change. You can't see her ribs now, but her back bone
and hip/butt bones are still there. When I showed the pic's to the girls at
the vet, they couldn't believe how good she looks in just less then two week I
have had her.

I found another picture I took the day I was at the shelter, this was when I
first saw her, and had to leave cause I got so upset, then went back.

Good updated pictures to come. I will try and take some tonight.
