It is just beyond me how anyone can mistreat precious animals that bring so much joy, laughter and love into our lives. That is so true, it can be very expensive to save just one, as you said, the big vet bills to get them to a healthy state. If I had a bank account as big as my heart I would do it in a moments notice! It so sad that they come out so sick. I think people would do more rescues if the dogs weren't so sick!! Knowing they are going too put out a bunch of money, and go through allot of worry and heart ache, and even death of there new pup. I learned something about little Vida yesterday. I went out to water some new plants I had planted over the weekend. When I unreeled the hose she took off like lightning! & it hit me why she did this. When I was at the shelter that day they were spraying the kennels down with a hose. I am sure they sprayed the dogs too.. I went in and told her it was okay, she would never be sprayed again.. I am not sure she understood, but I will know in the future that its something she is afraid of. Beth
