Can't wait to see the pictures of your treasures Liz. Wouldn't mind seeing any pics of the Caribbean too! "hint"

I haven't checked in since I got home from the Caribbean. Great trip over all, but the news that might interest this group is the Chihuahua "stuff" I collected during my travels. First I found a stuffed, singing & dancing Chi in the Dallas airport. Too cute & I couldn't resist. Then, in Miami I found the cutest little Chi in a blue basket (a sculpture) that I now have sitting on my kitchen island to hold doggy meds. Because it's a heavy piece, I was concerned about it pushing my luggage over weight limit going home. If I didn't buy anything else, I'd probably be okay in my luggage weight. However, this all happened during day #1 of my trip, and I had another 3 weeks to go. The stuffed Chihuahua sat on my bed the entire time I was away from home. Not quite the same as a real Chihuahua, but it made me think of my real Chihuahuas. Day #3, however, I found the cutest Chihuahua Wine Holder at the beach in Virgin Gordo. That was someplace I never dreamed of finding a Chihuahua collectable. I've never seen anything like it; so I had to get it. He's a cute, little Smooth Coat with a big smile and a place to put a wine bottle next to him. There was a matching Chihuahua wine stopper, too. The only problem was that he is extremely heavy (like stone); so I knew this would put my luggage over weigh limit going home. Oh well. It did. He probably weighs 5 or 6 pounds. Maybe more. So I ended up sticking a lot of smaller (but heavy stuff into my rain coat pockets) to keep the suitcase under 75 pounds. Then in Dallas on the way home, I found still another Chihuahua collectible. This time it was a standing, ceramic Chi that was made in Mexico. He came in bright colors, and I picked red. Only he was 10 inches tall, and I had no room left in my carry on's or my rain coat. That was a challenge getting him onto the plane with my camera gear. A Caribbean trip is certainly not a trip where I expected to find Chihuahua "goodies", but finding these collectibles made my trip extra memorable. I'll have to take photos of the things I found. The Chi Wine Holder and the Mexican Ceramic piece are really cute. Liz
