When they were on LI, NY they were rated very high for their support of
senior and sick dogs that people no longer wanted, or couldn't take care of.
It wasn't just a place that people sent their sick/elderly dog to. They took
them in from the shelters too. Many times an elderly senior (human) could
not take care of their pets anymore, others couldn't afford the meds that a
dog might need and for them this was better then them having to kill their
beloved pet. Other people claimed that they were the sole owners and worked
all day, so not being at home for 10 hours to help feed and walk and
medicate a senior was impossible for them and not a good thing for the
dog/cat either. They all believed that their pet would be better off in the
loving hands of kind people, rather then to euthanize them.

It would seem that the head owner of this place has changed considerably and
is now a little whacked in my book to leave a dog lay dead for three days,
to say the least of not taking care of any of them. Many years ago she
almost lost her house for lack of funds, because she had so many to take
care of and the contributions were not coming in on a regular basis. The
community stepped up and through charitable events helped to get her back on
her feet. Neighbors even helped with much needed repairs, and volunteered
their time to help take care of the animals. Vets in the community
volunteered their time as well. That is why she made it on the TV shows.
She really did love and take care of the animals for years. Perhaps seeing
all that sickness and death of so many, something snapped with her
perspective on the situation. Not many people could do that sought of job
day in and day out for years and not have it affect them some how. She was
considered an Angel for the animals. Such a shame that she changed so badly.

I only hope that the authorities step in, and if need be, send the one's
that are in pain to the Bridge.

Really must ask this....WHY would anyone ship off their senior dogs or
ill dogs off? Why not let them die at home??????

Another PETA undercover report:
The Delaware County District Attorney's Office is reviewing a request
by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals seeking an
investigation into a animal hospice in the Catskills lauded on "Oprah"
and "The Rachel Ray Show." PETA said its undercover investigation
revealed that the facility, which promises care for doomed and dying
pets, left the animals to suffer and perish in squalor.
