I knew a Mendoza family in Galveston but don't recall a Phil. I still have a sister and an Aunt there and I know there are still some Mendozas there. I love Galveston, the Victorian style architecture, the sea breeze, the smells (salt air and fish), the Oleanders in full bloom everywhere. I have lots of photos of Galveston, when I go down there, my sister drives me around to the end of the island and I take photos. The city is slowly coming back after Ike almost "killed" it. That and the fact that there are very few good job opportunities there makes for a shrinking population. Gloria
