I am new to this group, I was on minpintalk, but I recently had to put my
min pin down due to diebetes.

Well I went to the animal rescue league, no luck finding a chihauhua
there. I decided to look online, I found 2.. I saw this 1, she was very
outgoing, not mean, quiet, etc. Another reason I decided on getting her is to
get
her out of the enviroment She was in. She is 2 years, 9 months. She was
housetrained but was never on a leash, I put it on her and in less than a day
she can walk on 1. She can't climb or go down steps, I am guessing the short
legs.. She is the oposite of my min pin, He was hyper / only liked a few
people. I knew that was not his doing, he was not socialized as a pup as he
should have been.

I kept Her original name she had. I've had a few dogs, it is hard when the
have to be put down, etc But I am glad I was able to give them or any I
get a chance to have a life they deserve.

Alot are put down without having at leas 2 / 4 years. Instead of puting
them down, they should make that person have to pay for the food / meds when
it goes into a shelter till it is adopted.

it is only fair to the animal. it is a shame they put them down, alot can
be used in a rehab facility as companions while there.
