I once had a budgie, who was an even better talker than Beau.  What  gave 
me a hint that he might be a talker is that he learned to imitate the  sounds 
of his toy bells.  So, one day, I taped him making his bell sounds  and 
when I played the tape back, I heard him say "Mama's precious  bird".  I had 
been so busy trying to teach my bird to talk that I  wasn't listening to him.  
His name was Bunkie and I miss him still.
