We have Coco at adoptions today and we hated that we didnt have a
foster home for her and she had to go back to the shelter. Coco is the
most adorable dog - long and low to the ground.  We suspect that Coco
was absued or negelcted in her past life. She is painfully shy but so
so so sweet.  Her shyness will not make her stand out in the shelter.
She also has a flea allergy that may make people decide against her -
which is too bad as she really is such a doll. Coco was already
rescued once but since at 18 lbs she exceeded the "rescue's" 15 lb
weight limit - they SENT HER BACK.   Coco is also fully vetted.  Cant
you please make rooom for this doll baby!  If you are able to save
Coco, please let me know.

COCOA - Fully Vetted

Dachshund/Corgi Mix

This little girl is so cute and sweet and scared! I couldn't get her
to stand up because she was so scared but she is a beautiful dog and
very sweet. Little Cocoa is 3 years old, her ID is 530053, weighs 18
lbs., and is in cage 331 in the Puppy Room. She was turned in on
4/28/11 and her owner said she is already spayed and good with kids.
She has been heartworm tested and is negative and is up to date on
shots including rabies vaccine. When calling the shelter about a cat
or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by
volunteers.

Did you know that because people didn't spay and neuter
• There are 45 dogs and cats for every person born.
• Only 1 of 10 dogs and 1 of 12 cats ever get a home.
• 800 dogs & cats are KILLED each HOUR in the U.S. because there aren't
enough homes.
• Don't breed or buy while homeless animals die.
•  25-30% of pets in shelters are purebred.
• Looking for a pet?  Over 7 million adoptable dogs and cats a year are
euthanized.
• Fix your critter, prevent a litter!
