Peggy, I am so sorry to have just read about what has happened to Princess. Poor little girl! Have you ever tried colloidal silver? You can purchase at health food store, but it is wonderful for burns, stings, cuts, etc. And some people take it internally to keep their immune systems strong, so if Princess were to lick the area there would be no problem. We use it all the time here. Once I did something stupid, put orange oil all over the bathroom cabinet doors to give them a better look and then, still cannot believe I did this, put Haley in there for the night. I laid a blanket on the counter top once and immediately she decided she liked sleeping on that blanket during the day, so somehow it became her bedroom and since she was waking us up very early in the morning, we shut the door occasionally when she slept at night when we wanted to sleep past 6 a.m., lol. Longer story longer, when I went in to get her the next morning, I was horrified to see her eyes were so irritated from the strong smell of the oil they were really red rimmed and appeared very swelled and I frantically didn't know what to do. She kept blinking them and trying to close them like she was in pain, so I got some colloidal silver and droppered a drop or two into the corner of each eye three times a day and within a really short amount of time she seemed to get relief. It takes the pain away really quickly. If you decide to try it, I so hope it helps her soon. I just got back home after 2 days wrapping up some things that needed to be done on my dad's estate. Princess needs your help. I didn't put any flea meds on her yet, because I was searching for a more natural way to prevent them. Well wouldn't you know it....she apparently had a couple. Her little thingy is all red and sore and there was flea dirt all around it. I just gave her a bath, so no more fleas, and I cut away a lot of her fur around it and cleaned it up. But the poor baby is crying and licking it, and then she comes to me and cry's and shakes trying to tell me that she hurts. Does anyone know what I can put on it, to stop it from hurting her? Any one know of any old fashion remedies, of something that I may have in the house that I can use and it won't harm her if she licks it again? Peggy
