Actually it was 1am...my son just came home from work and saw the truck door
open...and it wasn’t a parking lot...it’s the field beside our garage...my
husband actually tackled and held a man for the police for a man several years
ago in the same field...Ha Ha...There was a police chase and he just took it
upon himself to help...Ha Ha...They thanked him but told him he shouldn’t do
things like that...could be dangerous.....

LORAIN — A man whose truck was broken into chased a man he saw looking into his
neighbor’s car early yesterday morning, according to a Lorain report.

The man called police around 2 a.m. after learning his stereo had been stolen
from his truck, which was in a parking lot on West second Street. While the
officer was heading to his location, dispatch reported the man was chasing two
suspects. Police caught up with him on the 1000 block of West Erie Avenue where
he told police he lost sight of both men.

Officers saw Vincent Sanchez, 23, of Lorain coming out between houses and
stopped him. He had abnormally muddy sneakers and was sweating profusely, the
report stated. Sanchez said he drove to a friend’s house nearby. The man
identified Sanchez as one of the men he was chasing, but Sanchez claimed to not
have been involved with the theft. Sanchez was charged with driving under
suspension and taken to Lorain City Jail.
