Thank you. I guess I never thought, but the 's' formation was a surprise. My one friend that used to work for a neurosurgeon said that they cut the head like that so that when the hair grows back in, there is not a strip without hair. With the 's' there is hair above/below most of the scar and usually you can't tell when the hair grows in.
