[Chihuahuas] fleas

i sware ive never seena dog get worse fleas then a chihuahua so i gave him a 
flea bath that helped for 2 days and then they were back again so i went to the 
vet my SIL recommended the pill to me but the vet wont let me have it because 
chulupa is too small so i got advantage thinking great this wont work but im 
amazed it worked great the fleas are gone!!! what do you use for fleas
