Thanks, Lisa.
She sleeps in the crate at night, I was concerned about leaving her
in it all day while we were at work. Isn't that too much? :-/ With
our various schedules it might be up to 8 hrs during the day time.
Thanks,
Lynn

Hi Lynn,
I am a new Chi owner as well. My Chi, Trooper, is a little over 6
mos. now and still not quite housetrained. He goes outside most of
the time but still has accidents at the kitchen door (where he goes
out). What has helped though, it crate training. When you aren't
able to watch Gabby, I would recommend putting her in a
crate...especially when you are gone from the house. Chi's can be
quite destructive! Trooper loves his crate and will rest in it
during the day (his bed and blankie is in there) and will go in at
night when I say "It's time for night night!"
Small dogs in general hate the rain and do not like having to go
outside to potty when it's raining. You may have to pick Gabby up
and take her outside and stand there while she does her business.
It helps to have an umbrella...Trooper like me to hold it over him
so he won't get wet! LOL! Although Trooper isn't as bad as the
Maltese I once had...that dog HATED to go outside...PERIOD!
Good luck with Gabby...I know you'll find out the source of her
fears of the rain and help her to confidently go potty outside once
again!
