I take two bean strips (cold, from the can), cut them up, and add over the kibble. Emiliano loves the green beans but I don't feed them to him daily. Just a couple of times a month, more like a treat. I started adding them to his food, when he acted hungry even after eating all of his kibbles. Now that he appears to have gained weight, I no longer worry about him not having enough to eat. LOL Gloria In a message dated 10/12/2011 10:40:08 P.M. How many beans for a 8 lb girl? sounds like it might help our little ones… they do a lot of scooting….. and I don't want them to gain …. thanks, mj On Oct 12, 2011, at 6:37 PM, Renee Morgan wrote: Hi, Our vet told me to feed my dachshund green beans from the can along with her regular food. Either try the salt free or drain and rinse the regular. This adds a lot of fiber and somehow allows them to express their glands on their own. Cleo, our 6 year old deaf dachshund, used to scoot all the time but never had THIS problem ...(ouch! must be really painful and bothersome for your babies!) . The green beans have worked for her and it is also a low cal food for the true food mongers out there :) (I am basically new too. I came here for advice on a chihuahua I rescued a few months back and everyone was wonderful! It's good to be able to add my 2 cents and give back a little tidbit!) Renee
