Gabby, the tiny little chi, whose owner slapped her and must have abused her when she did not come when called, I called her and she came about 3 ft. I got down on my hands and knees and called her again. She came slowly, with her tail between her legs. She was showing great stress by licking her lips and refusing to look at me. BUT SHE CAME ALL THE REST OF THE WAY TO ME.
I praised her over and over. I picked her up and loved on her. I'm crying. This is an important break thru because I now think she is learning to trust me. Plus the come command is very important!
